Game Play

Here's how the AYAT trivia game flows...

Game play always starts with Player 1, then it passes to Player 2, and so on.
As soon as a wrong answer is announced, the remote control should always be passed to the next player.
When it is their turn, each player should personally handle the remote control to ensure their intended answers are entered correctly.

Player Up Dr. Browne announces whose turn it is to play the game.

With each Player Up announcement, the player’s score is displayed on screen.
Your AYAT Category Dr. Browne announces the random category selected for the upcoming question

Iif this should happen to be the player’s AYAT Bonus Category, Dr. Browne will announce this as well.

Your AYAT Question

Dr. Browne asks the question, the question and three possible answers appear on screen.

Using the remote control arrow keys, player highlights and selects the best answer.
   • Once the select or enter key has been pressed, the answer cannot be changed.
   • If no selection is made within 60 seconds, then it is assumed the answer is wrong.

Right or Wrong

Dr. Browne announces if the answer selected is right or wrong and provides color commentary.

With Dr. Browne's irreverent, over-the-top commentary, wrong answers are almost as fun as right answers!

Correct Answer

Dr. Browne reads the correct answer and the correct answer appears on screen with the original question.
   • If the player answered correctly, he or she earns one juice point and gets to continue on to another question.
   • If the player answered incorrectly, he or she earns no juice points and must pass the remote to the next player.
Bonus Question Whenever a player’s selected AYAT Bonus Category comes up, Dr. Browne provides an announcement and reminds the player of the importance of getting the answer right.

Right answers earn two juice points (double points) while wrong answers lose two juice points.

Word At random intervals, Dr. Browne offers his unique brand of color commentary on the status of game play and how well or badly a particular player is doing in the game.
Game Over

The game is over when Dr. Browne has asked the predetermined number of AYAT questions.

Dr. Browne will show players their final scores in a game-over video sequence and announce the winner (and "dis" the losers).

Winners & Losers The Winner - The winner is the player with the most AYAT juice points after Dr. Browne has asked the pre-selected number of questions.

The “Maxed Out” Winner - There is a second possible way to win “Are You All That?” by being the first player to earn 30 AYAT juice points.

Tie Game - A tie game is possible.  Yes, it's true, in Dr. Brown's world more than one person can be "All That!"
...at least until the next AYAT challenge!
